The Evidence of Oral Probiotics in Periodontal Treatment and Caries Management.

Synopsis: The increasing use of probiotic bacteria in gastrointestinal area has led to increased interest in effects of probiotics on the oral environment and the possible use both in prevention and treatment of periodontitis and caries. The goal of this lecture is to summarise current research on probiotics and its potential to affect oral disease conditions.
