Peri-implant diseases: can we prevent it?

Osseointegration started as a miracle more than 50 years ago. Today, the use of dental implants for replacement of missing teeth is prevalent and a standard of care. Though osseointegration is a given, the longevity of the implant is compromised by peri implant diseases. The challenge in this current time is the prevention and management of peri- implant diseases. The lecture will focus on the prevention of peri-implant disease and steps we can take from the start to the completion of a case.
