You can develop gum disease at any stage of your life. Gum disease can recur even if treated. If you do not have gum disease, you should still visit a dentist regularly to prevent gum disease. If you have gum disease, you should seek gum treatment as soon as possible. If you have successfully treated your gum disease, you should continue regular dental checkups at appropriate intervals to maintain healthy gums. If you have any general questions on gum disease you can email the Society of Periodontology (Singapore) at enquiry@perio.org.sg. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to get an appointment with any of our Society members at their clinics.
