Today everyone is talking about sustainability and sustainable development but what is the meaning of sustainable development? Sustainability entails so much more than rece=ycling and protecting the environment, and it can be hard to keep up since the field is moving forward so quickly. Most dental companies strive towards a more sustainable organization today that can be confused with companies’ environmental impact. The environment is an important factor in sustainability, yet only the tip of the sustainability iceberg. To create a sustainable company, we must work on many levels in conjunction with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
